Letter to Alumni on Spring 2012
Hello and God’s peace be with all of you! The semester is underway and I wanted to give y’all an update on what’s been going on at the Catholic Center these days!
The Lord is moving and continuing to love the UNT and TWU students, as well as adding to the Catholic community here at the C daily! The last few weeks we’ve been spilling out of our little upstairs chapel for Thursday night Mass. Last week there were ten of us standing in the hall way of the chapel that seats just over 30 students! We also had a wonderful TOBET missionary speak to a full crowd on Christian dating in the first of our three Theology of the Body talk series. We have our first ever Busy Person retreat coming up, with students meeting with spiritual directors, as well as committing to daily prayer. … We have many small faith sharing groups including ones for women, men, graduate students, and those desiring to study Theology of the Body. Our Monday night dinner and Bible study has been a time of fellowship and diving into the Acts of the Apostles and the movement of the Holy Spirit in the early Church! Also coming around the corner are Lenten Fish Fry’s sponsored by the Knights of Columbus.
With so much going on at the C, we always welcome donations. Whether donating dinner for our Monday night Bible study, sponsoring one of our Theology of the Body Talks, or making a monetary gift for present and future needs of the C, all are a huge blessing to the ministry. Most of all please keep us in your prayers especially in asking that God will continue to guide this Campus Ministry and help us to reach out to those in need of God’s love at UNT and TWU!
